The Grizzly is around the corner…and I bet there is many thoughts and feelings trashing those brains. Why does our head play tricks before we do an event ? Do you tend to over analyse things? Focus on the negative aspects?
Well in pure simple words the main thing is to go into tomorrow’s race with positive thoughts and excitement. Just think of the finishing line and how you will feel after completing such a tough course.
You are in for a treat ….for those of you who have not done this event before…. the views are spectacular….. thats your reward when you get to the peak of those hands on knees hills.
Best of luck to everybody and I look forward to seeing you! RELAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One day after the Grizzly and I think the dream has burnt away with the early morning mist. I say dream given the conditions yesterday and that the event had a certain dream like quality given this is supposed to be March rather than July. The weather was superb and the blue skies and blue sea were a sharp contrast with the green hills of Beer and Branscombe. As for the route, hard pushed to describe that as dream like, perhaps only in the sense that a nightmare is experienced while asleep too! I did look hard but I could not find the silver lining. But its always a tough run whatever the theme and the course and with luck I will be back next year to do it all over again.
